SPELLING WORDS
AND
STATE REPORTS
Third grade students will have regular spelling tests. The spelling and vocabular study is from the Houghton Mifflin Curriculum series. Normally there will be a spelling test every Friday with a spelling pre-test on Monday. Students who spell all the words correctly on the Monday pre-test are exempt from the final test on Friday. They will also be members of 100% Club, earning a million dollars. Click on the link below to access the weekly spelling words.
Every week third grade students will complete a state report as part of their study of the United States. The students will receive the state for the report on the Friday before it is due along with the due date. The following link is a great place to do research, www.50states.com. The students have the state reports forms. They are encouraged to make additional copies of the two-sided form to have at home. Click on the link below for the state and its due date. This information is at the end of the list of spelling words.
