Mrs. Kennedy attended Pacific Lutheran University and received her Teaching Credential in Elementary Education in 1991; she is also a graduate of the University of San Diego where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. She was employed as a First Grade teacher for 9 years at Holy Rosary School in Tacoma prior to joining the St. Nicholas staff as Kindergarten teacher in 2002.
As an early elementary school teacher, Mrs. Kennedy provides a child-centered classroom that is conducive to learning. She uses a hands-on learning approach in her teaching methods that is developmentally appropriate within an integrated faith-based curriculum. Her goal for her students is that they develop an understanding of their Catholic faith while becoming lifelong learners.
Mrs. Kennedy resides in Gig Harbor with her husband, Jack, and their two dogs, Molly and Rudy. She and her husband are active members of the St. Nicholas parish family. They have two grown children, Colleen and Jack, Jr.
