Mr. Home is a Gig Harbor native, graduating from Peninsula High School in 1994. He earned his B.A. in History from Western Washington University in 1998. After working as a substitute teacher in the Peninsula School District, Mr. Home earned his Masters in Teaching Degree from City University in 2000. He taught at Purdy Elementary School from 2000-2005 in grades 3 and 4 and in the Learning Assistance Program. After earning his Principal Credentials from City Univrsity, he spent a year as Assistant Principal at Chautauqua Elementary School on Vashon Island.
Mr. Home came to St. Nicholas in 2006 and has taught middle school and 5th Grade in addition to his duties as Assistant Principal.
Ian is an amatuer farmer who loves sports, gardening, camping, and spending time with his family. His three daughters attend St. Nicholas and his wife, Anna-sara, is the PTO president.
