Our outstanding teachers and staff members are what makes St. Nicholas such a great place for our children to learn and grow! The faculty at St. Nicholas Catholic School includes nine full-time classroom teachers and a full-time technology teacher. Three part-time specialists teach music, physical education, and Spanish. Specialists teach all grades. All other staff positions including librarians, school nurses, and class aides are filled by parent volunteers.
St. Nicholas teachers are truly lifelong learners and they convey that enthusiasm to their students. All of our teachers are state certified. Six faculty members including the principal have advanced degrees; five teachers are working toward Washington State Professional Teacher Certification, and one teacher is pursuing a master's degree in school administration.
The faculty works well together and enjoys serving the school community. When asked in a recent staff survey what they liked about teaching at St. Nicholas School, teachers stated, "a strong supportive and joyful atmosphere" and "a faith-based family atmosphere."
