CHESS CLUB: Are you interested in chess?
Mr. Damish and Mr. Murphy are finalizing time and dates for the chess club. The club will begin after the cross-country season is over and continue into May. The following are a preliminary dates 10/9, 10/16, 10/30, 11/13, 12/4, 12/18.

COOKING CLUB: Due to the busy schedule of our middle school students the Cooking Club is considering a move January. Stay tuned for more details!
Chef Sara's mission is to teach cooking terminology and demonstrate healthy cooking, along with the basics, such as how to bake bread, put together meals, compare labels, etc. Besides the opportunity to cook together, each student leaves the course with a notebook of recipes and handouts that are compiled during the weekly sessions. Chef Sara is a graduate of the Culinary Business Academy in Denver, Colorado. She is a Premier Member of the United States Personal Chef Association and an active member of the Puget Sound Personal Chefs Chapter. DRAMA CLUB: Stay tuned!
GOLF CLUB: We are looking forward to another year of Middle School golf with Professional golf instructor Becky Willard. Look for more information at the beginning of 2010! Go Eagles!
TENNIS CLUB: Tennis Club will begin again in the spring of 2010, at the Canterwood courts, under the instruction of one of our very own school family member, Steve Wright. Coach Steve is a USPTA-certified professional tennis instructor and has been teaching tennis for 16 years. He is the head tennis pro at Bally's in Tacoma as well as at the Canterwood Golf and Country Club. School parent Melinda Dionas will serve as our Assistant Tennis Coach. All skill levels are welcome to join, from beginners to experienced players, and equipment will be provided to those students who do not have their own to use. Carpooling will be available.
We are very excited to offer these wonderful opportunities to our Middle School students!
