Technology Integration

Our goal at St. Nicholas Catholic School is to integrate technology into the curriculum in a way that imprints within students both the desire and skills to expand their knowledge of the core content in each grade level while also exploring new ways to share that knowledge with others. The National and Archdiocesan Technology Standards will be used in combination with specific classroom curriculum to meet the needs of each grade level K-8. Although each grade is unique in content taught, all students will get instruction in internet safety, proper handling of technology devices, keyboarding skills, use of Google Drive, and introductory computer programming.

Middle school students have the additional opportunity and responsibility of participating in a 1:1 Chromebook program. Besides a more in-depth focus on research skills students will also have the opportunity to further explore other areas of technology such as video editing, 3D design, programming languages, and website design.
