Tuition Assistance

As our mission statement expresses, we are a community of disciples who work toward toward a common goal; the education of our children in the fullness of the Catholic faith. We want to make St. Nicholas Catholic School accessible to every local family who wants a Catholic education for their children. Assistance is available to help assure no child is turned away from St. Nicholas Catholic School due to financial hardship.

Families in need of tuition assistance have access to these resources:

  • A Fulcrum Foundation Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) Grant through the Archdiocese of Seattle
  • St. Nicholas Catholic School’s Guardian Angel Program (GAP)

Application Process

Families seeking tuition assistance should first apply for financial aid through the Fulcrum Foundation. Application dates and guidelines are available on the Archdiocese of Seattle’s website. Click here for more information about TAP. Completed applications for the 2017-2018 school year are due by January 15, 2017.

If families need additional assistance, they are encouraged to apply for a GAP scholarship. This program was established by St. Nicholas Catholic School in 2015 as another financial resource for families who struggle to meet our school’s tuition requirements. St. Nicholas Parish offers financial aid through the Del Garber Educational Fund.  Families may apply fr the tuition assistance from wither or both of these funds.  Applications are available here. Please follow the application instructions carefully and include all requested financial documents. Completed applications for the 2017-2018 school year are due in the school office by March 31st, 2017.
