AUCTION DREAM TEAM
Auction Chair: Lizette Bass - auction@sncsgh.org
The annual dream auction is St. Nicholas' primary fundraising event. Each family is expected to contribute a minimum of four hours to support its success. A variety of roles, including take-home projects and day-of tasks, are available. Below is a brief overview of each committee's duties; for inquiries, contact auction@sncsgh.org.
Sponsorship/Underwriting
-Foster relationships with parish and Gig Harbor community
-Request event sponsorship
-Works closely with procurement team in selecting specific businesses and donors.
-Works with marketing team in sending out "thank you" notes to all donor and event attendees after the auction.
Procurement
-Create a list of desirable items and set up a gift registry.
-Obtains items or services for the live and silent auction bidding, working closely with the underwriting committee to prevent overlap.
Greater Giving
-Enters procured items and packages into the auction data system
-Enters sponsorships, donation & admissions
-Works with banking company
-Ensures good flow of optimal viewing of silent auction items
-Works with marketing to share wish list and registries
Marketing/Communications
-Create a written copy that supports the auction for marketing, social media, print materials, newsletters, etc.
-Collaborates with the development team to send out an auction newsletter and communicate deadline dates and procurement requests.
Volunteer Coordinator
-Oversees, volunteers for the auction on the preceding day, the day of the event, the night of the auction, and post-auction cleanup.
-Photos: coordinates class photos and individual/sibling photo shoots, collaborating with parents, volunteers, or photographers, in conjunction with development.
Venue/Event
-Works with the auction chair to select theme and venue for the auction
-Works with subcommittee in executing the "day of "

-VIP table
Class Projects
-Oversees all class projects. Each grade level is assigned a specific project that requires collaobration with the teacher, a parent, and potentially other volunteers
-Past projects have included copper crosses for 2nd grade, a book nook, a bench, butterflies in a shadowbox, wind chimes, and other creative endeavors.
-A book of past projects can help facilitate the planning and execution of each project.
